The actual website is very easy to understand and you can download a demo version of the software that will search through your hard drive and show you what can be recovered. The demo version also allows you to recover one deleted file.

The purchasing, downloading and installing of the software is quick and easy and once installed your brought to the start screen of 'Data Recovery Wizard'. As the name suggests, the software is set out in a wizard style format, meaning the program is very easy to use.

At the start of the wizard you can choose from three options. Deleted file recovery, partition recovery and complete recovery. These options are pretty self explanatory but we'll go through them anyway. The first option – deleted file recovery allows you to search through your chosen drive and recover files either one by one or by checking multiple files. The second option – partition recovery - is the option that gives Data Recovery Wizard an edge on the competition. It allows you to recover a selected drive partition in its entirety. Although needing to do this will be a rare occurrence it will be very handy to some people and this is one of the only programs that can do it. Finally the 'Complete Recovery' option allows you to recover an entire drive.

All three options work very well and the 'partition' and 'complete' options in-particular are extremely thorough. The speed in which the software searches and recovers is slightly on the slow side but it is made up in how comprehensive the search is. The software is also very easy to use – there are no confusing choices or options.

To sum up, 'Data Recovery Wizard' is a solid, well put together program that definitely won't let you down. The speed at which it works could be frustrating for some but won't be a problem for most people. The 'Partition Recovery' section is what will sell it for a lot of people – so if you've accidentally deleted a whole drive partition this is the software for you! And if you haven't, its still worth looking at.
